ADATA Releases the HD700 and HV620S; Rugged, Yet Slim External HDD

ADATA Technology, a Taipei-based memory and storage manufacturer, has recently launched their newest models for their external hard drive line-up, aptly named HD700 and HV620S. Offering models with super-slim styles and rugged durability, ADATA has provided its customers with affordable and reliable storage solutions, and is now emerging as a force to be reckoned with in this market. These two models use USB 3.0 for delivering quick data speeds and boast a G-Shock sensor. They also offer both Windows and Mac OS compatibility and 256-bit AES data encryption for security.

Rugged Durability of HD700

Targeting users with active and sporty lifestyles, the HD700 is a durable hard drive that uses multi-layered protection; a cushioned interior, a hardened plastic enclosure, and a removable silicone cover for shock-cancelling effect. Due to this impact proofing, the HD700 passed the MIL-STD-810G Test Method 516.6 drop test which is equivalent to military-grade shock resistance. While also enjoying being water proof and dust proof, it can withstand high pressure jets of water and it has IP56 certification, which means dust protection against most particles.
This model is made available in 1TB and 2TB storage capacity.

Its 1TB storage capacity is tightly packaged inside the 11.5mm thin enclosure, complete with a glossy finish and glowing light from the LED activity indicator.
