| Samsung Addresses Galaxy Note 7 Explosion Issue |
It’s probably no secret by now that the batteries of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 has a chance of exploding, and that has proven to be a serious cause of concern for users looking to get into the South Korean tech giant’s flagship phablet to power up their multimedia and gaming needs. Of course, this is a serious issue for the company, with the only recourse for action is to recall units for safety issues and concerns. Now, if you’re interested to know what’s causing the problem, Samsung shed light on the matter and briefly explains the cause of the explosions.
According to a statement made by Samsung, the company has found out through investigation that there was an issue with the battery cell. Apparently, in several scenarios, there’s an overheating of the battery cell that occurred when the “anode-to-cathode came into contact due to a manufacturing process error. Also, Samsung says that it has stopped sales of the handset. In this sense, the company wants you to rest assured that you’ll get a safe product once it gets back on stock in the market.
As of the beginning of September, only 35 cases have been reported that were affected with the battery issue. And fortunately, there are no reports regarding injuries globally.
