A new application is available on the top- downloaded free Fitbit app for Android, iOS and Windows devices. It is the new sleep schedule feature that works with all Fitbit devices that will automatically track sleep. This includes Fitbit Surge™, Fitbit Blaze™, Fitbit Charge HR™, Fitbit Alta™, Fitbit Charge™, Fitbit Flex® and through manual sleep tracking with Fitbit One®.

The new Sleep Schedule feature guides you to get a more consistent sleep pattern with your personalized sleep goal based on your sleep data to have an optimal amount of sleep every night. It has a customized bedtime and wakeup target to have a consistent sleep and a reminder so you can stay within schedule with a sleep schedule history chart for your progress. The Fitbit Sleep Schedule feature will look at your sleep data from your Fitbit device that you are wearing day and night.

The leading sleep experts namely Dr. Michael Gardner from the University of Arizona, Dr. Allison Siebern from Stanford University, and Dr. Michael Smith from John Hopkins University developed these tools which are considered as the first in a series of new sleep features.
